Romans 5:16, “Also, the gift is not like what came through the one who sinned. For judgment out of one transgression brought condemnation, but the divine gift out of many transgressions brought justification.”
The comparison between the condemnation which resulted from Adam’s sin and the divine gift continue in verse 16. Paul continues to show the distinction by pointing out that Adam’s sin was one, but the results were devastating. However, sin multiplied and even though sin abounded much more since all sinned and continued to sin, the grace of God is able to bring about justification. Again, the gift is superior to the curse.
