21 Days – Day 15

Romans 5:15, “But the transgression is not like the divine gift. For if by the offense of one many died, much more by the grace of God and the gift in grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, more abounded.”

Oh, how thankful we are for the uniqueness of the gift! The sin of Adam brought death to all men because all have sinned, but the divine gift is greater because the Giver is greatest. Paul uses a number of words to show the greatness of the gift in this passage. In fact the words for divine gift, grace, gift, and grace are all different in the Greek. This is much more than a simple gift. It’s a reversing of the curse of Adam, a conquering over sin and death, and an overflowing of divine power which results in ultimate triumph.

Rejoice in your salvation! Remember that with regards to the work of Christ over sin and death, “It is finished!”
