Romans 5:10, “For if we, being enemies, were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we will be saved by his life.”
The Christian life doesn’t end at the moment of salvation. In fact, the Bible speaks a lot less about the moment of decision when compared to passages on abiding in Christ. Our believing and repenting is only the beginning. God intends that we continuously be walking with Him. Remember, Jesus said, “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10).
This abundant life begins here, but continues to eternity. While we were still enemies of God, He saved us. He saved us for an everlasting relationship. We look back and rejoice on our salvation, but we look forward to the day that we will be raised to an eternal state with Him. This life is but a moment in the timeline of human history. What are you doing today to prepare you and others for eternity?
